The MCST Discipleship Track is a series of essential discipleship courses for all adult believers in Jesus Christ (including Juniors and Seniors in high school).  The Discipleship Track includes seven core courses and three electives.  Participants who complete the track will earn a Certificate in Discipleship from the Midwest Center for Spiritual Transformation.

Spring 2012 Adult Courses

New Testament Survey (Sundays)

Provides a survey of the message and important events, people, places, and themes of the New Testament. Learners will 1) build a framework for understanding and interpreting the New Testament, 2) Gain an understanding of the Biblical background needed for a lifetime of meaningful study of God’s Word, and 3) respond to God as He speaks to you through His Word.

The Christ-centered Life (Sundays)

Designed to help you build and strengthen a strong foundation for your Christian life through enriching Bible study, scripture memory, and group interaction. If you are a growing believer and desire to understand how you can help others to grow in their faith then this course is for you.

 Read the Bible for Life (Sundays)

Video-driven study containing 16 conversations on reading the Bible well. Using down-to-earth conversations this course discusses the basic tools and attitudes needed to read the Bible more effectively.

Bible Book Study: Hebrews (Sundays)

Provides an in-depth look at the book of Hebrews.

 Courageous Bible Study: Honor Begins at Home (Sundays)

In this newly released study based on the movie Courageous, participants of all ages will learn how to leave a strong legacy of faithfulness for their children and grand-children. During the course participants will view the entire, full-length feature film.

 Open Bible Study for Adults (Sundays)

 Designed for those who desire to study God’s Work at MCST but who are not currently able to commit to the requirements of others MCST courses. No curriculum is utilized. Weekly topics are chosen by the Bible Study leader.

 Beginnings (Sundays)

This study is for new believers in Jesus Christ. If you have recently received salvation then this is the course for you. Covers the basics of your new life in Jesus Christ.

 Experiencing God (Sundays)

 This classic study shows believers how to know God intimately and encourages them to step out in faith to join Him in His work. Through examination of Biblical and contemporary illustrations in this video-driven study, participants will understand and apply seven realities of experiencing God.

The Truth Project (Wednesdays)

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 video lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This study is the starting point for looking at life from a Biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.


 

 

 

Women's Bible Study: James: Mercy Triumphs (Wednesdays)

James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.

Divorce Care (Wednesdays)

Find a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through divorce alone. This 13-week study is designed to encourage and equip those who have suffered a divorce.
